What Are The Causes Of Irregular Menstrual Cycle?

Alcohol:

A little dose of alcohol, even the amount that will not get you tipsy can leave a long lasting effect on your body. Alcohol increases the levels of estrogen production in the body which may disrupt hormonal fluctuations in the body concerned with ovulation. This change give rise to irregular menstrual cycle.

Being over weight, packing so much pounds of fat on your body quickly and then doing nothing about it will will always disrupt your hormonal system; producing more testosterone than normal. This will affect your ovulation and you might have longer menstrual cycles or skip of your periods.
Infections:

This is one of the common causes of irregular menstrual cycle. A typical infection, example a bacteria infection will not impact directly on your cycle, but it will cause bleeding, misleading you to think that your period is coming up earlier than normal.

Times without number, i have written articles discouraging women from smoking. Here is another piece:

Women who smoke experience more PMS than women who don't. PMS, meaning Premenstrual syndrome is the varied collection of physical and emotional symptoms during part of a woman's menstrual cycle.

Smoking alters the level of your estrogen, testosterone, and other hormones which are involved in the development of PMS.
