"Full" will put the entire content of each post in your site feed, while "Short" only includes an excerpt from the beginning of each post. Hence, to add read more, select the "Until Jump Break" option. This will make your posts to be displayed as seen in the screenshot above, with a read more link, which when clicked, will take your subscribers to your blog.
